Manual / Draft Orders
Phone & Email Sales
Last updated: July 3, 2026
Create orders on a customer's behalf for phone or email sales at Admin → Sales → Create Order. STOAR builds a pending order awaiting payment and can email the customer a link to pay.
Creating an Order #
- Customer — search for an existing customer, or enter walk-in details (name, email). Optionally set a country for correct tax.
- Items — add one or more products with quantities.
- Payment — choose an offline method (Invoice, Bank Transfer, Cash on Delivery) and decide whether to email the customer their payment link.
- Create Order — STOAR creates the order and shows its number with a link to view it.
What Happens #
- The order is created Pending with a Pending payment — it's awaiting payment, not yet settled.
- Stock is decremented immediately (the items are committed to the order), just like a POS sale.
- If you chose to email the customer, they receive an awaiting-payment email with a secure link to view and pay for the order.
- When payment arrives, mark the order Paid from the order screen (this confirms the offline payment).
When to Use #
- Phone and email orders
- Quotes converted to orders for B2B/trade customers (pair with customer-group net terms)
- Re-creating an order taken outside the storefront
Notes #
